Neighborhood Housing Greater New Britain is proud to partner with UniteCT, the Connecticut Department of Housing emergency rental relief program. NHSNB Case workers can help you receive up to $15,000 in rental relief as well as up to $1,500 in electric utility relief.

What is UniteCT?

Resource Center Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Friday, from 9 a.m. to to 12 noon

​PLEASE NOTE: As of February 15th, 2022, UniteCT has stopped the acceptance of new rent and electric applications and recertification intake.

For tenants and landlords with a rent relief case number, you will have until March 31st, 2022 to complete your applications.

As of March 31st, 2022, any cases not fully completed will be withdrawn from the case review process.

UniteCT staff will continue processing applications until funding is no longer available.

However, Neighborhood Housing Greater New Britain is still operating our walk-in UniteCT Resource Center here at 223 Broad Street in New Britain. Our trained staff is here to help you with any questions or concerns regarding the program.

No appointment is necessary. Computer workstations and internet are available for use. We’re still here to help!
